Suzy’s Mojito:
Drumroll… Here is the recipe for my famous Mojito’s. The secret is using fresh ingredients. After having a legit mojito at the Bacardi facotry in Puerto Rico, I had to try to make my own. Using 2 types of rum adds a depth of flavor plus the fresh ingredients makes this worth every calorie!

Organic Ingredients:
- 2 Shots White Rum
- 1 Shot Pineapple Rum
- 2 Shots Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice
- 1 – 2 Shots of Simple Syrup (see recipe below)
- 2 Sprigs of Mint
- 1/2 cup of Sparkling Water
- Slice of Lime
- Sprig of Mint
- Sugar to rim the glass
How to make Simple Syrup
Super easy and great to have on hand:
1 cup organic sugar
1 cup filtered water
Combine in sauce pan and bring to a boil. Heat until the syrup is clear. Store in a mason jar in the refrigerator.
Now what:
Add 1 shot of white rum, 2 springs of mint, few ice cubes to shaker cup. Muddle the mint well. Add lime juice, a couple of lime rinds and muddle some more. (Muddling the lime and mint brings out the essential oils.) Add 1 more shot of white rum, pineapple rum, simple syrup and a cup or so of ice. Shake well.
Use a slice of lime and rim the top of the glass. Roll rim in the sugar. Pour mojito into glass and top with sparking water.
