This is my all time favorite granola. I have had good granola but this is the best! Thanks Kelly for sharing!
Organic Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 4 teaspoons vanilla (click here for yummy DIY vanilla recipe)
- 1 teaspoon of sea salt
- 8 cups of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup sliced almonds
- 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
- 1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
- 1 cup dried fruit (I use dried cranberries.)
Now What:
Preheat oven to 275 degrees F.
Line 2 cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Combine brown sugar and water in a glass microwavable measuring cup (at lease 4 cups). Place in microwave on high for 4 – 5 minutes. Check after 3 minutes and stir. Cook until sugar is dissolved. Remove from microwave, add vanilla and salt.
In a large mixing bowl, combine oats, nuts and coconut. Pour brown sugar syrup over mixture. Stir until thoroughly mixed. Spread the granola onto cookie sheets and bake 45 minutes or until GBD (Golden, Brown and Delicious)
Pour granola into big bowl and add dried fruit. Let cool and store in airtight container.
When this is baking, it smells like heaven!
